Events on the Charge
• Tuesday, January 31, 7:00: Center Moreland charge PPR meeting, 7:00 at Center Moreland.
• Wednesday Feb. 1, 7:00: Organizational VBS meeting at CM.
• Thursday, Feb. 2, 6:30: CM Trustees
• Thursday, Feb. 2, 7:30: ALL CHARGE meeting, at Center Moreland. This needs to include CM's Admin Council, DH's Church Council, and the PPR of the charge.
• Friday, Feb. 3: CM Finance committee budget meeting, 7:00
• Sunday Feb. 5: Souper Bowl of Caring food collection in all worship services
• Sunday Feb. 5, 11:00: Scout Sunday
• Sunday, Feb. 5, all worship services: Super Bowl Sunday! Wear the gear of your favorite NFL team, whether they are playing that day or not!
• Monday Feb. 6, 12:00: Lunch Bunch at Sweet Allie's Cafe, Dallas. (Formerly Really Cooking, it’s next to Gino’s Shoes, across from Weis Market). Call Susy Farr, 333-4401, if attending.

Youth Mission Project: SoC will be making soup for Seven Loaves on Feb. 4.
Keep an eye out for members of the youth group selling orders for fudge (chocolate or peanut butter) or carnations, to be delivered in time for Valentines Day on Feb. 12.
New Fundraising Opportunity: CMUMC now has an account with Goodsearch.com, a search engine that benefits non-profit organizations. Please register by going to Goodsearch.com, and entering Center Moreland United Methodist Church” into the organization dialog box when prompted. That’s all you have to do, other than use it!
Support for Red Bird Missionary Conference is taken as a monthly offering on the First Sunday of each month. If you have any questions about this ministry, please contact Denise Hackling.
Pennies for Bibles: The CM Sunday school will be taking collection for the Pennies for Bibles program through the end of March. There is a jar in the rear of the Sanctuary

Our Bible study, Thursdays at 3:00 at Center Moreland, will be cancelled this week. We are studying the book of Galatians! Anyone who would want to join us should please just bring their Bibles.

Christmas Eve Services
This year, our Christmas Eve services are at the following times:
Dymond Hollow: 5:00
Center Moreland: 7:00
The next day, Christmas Day, is a Sunday. Our worship services will be at regular times:

• Dec. 12th, 7:00: CM provides meal for men’s homeless ministry at Camp Orchard Hill.
• Dec. 17, 7:00: Sunday School Christmas program at CM.
Note: The Dymond Hollow Admin. Council/Trustees meeting scheduled for Monday Dec. 5 has been rescheduled to January.

Youth Mission Project: SoC is collecting toiletries for use by flood victims. Please bring in unopened toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, lotions, etc.

The Center Moreland Charge is collecting winter clothing items, such as coats, gloves, hats, long underwear, etc. for use by flood victims as the weather turns colder. As you bring out your winter clothing, please consider donating usable items this fall!
CM is also collecting pillows, pillowcases, toiletry items, and such for the Homeless men who will be at Camp Orchard Hill for the season beginning Dec. 12. There will be a meeting of the mission committee on Thursday Dec. 8 to discuss the meal CM will provide.
Family Advent candles Remember to bring yours for our Advent candle display at Center Moreland, next to the tree.
Lunch Bunch will be on Dec. 5, at the Pink Apple at Tunkhannock, at 12:00. It is Millie’s Auction time, so please bring a few wrapped gifts to auction off. Auction proceeds are for the Children’s Home in Binghamton. Please call Suzy Farr if you are planning to attend.
