Advent Family Candles Once again, we will be offering the opportunity for families and individuals to have their own Advent candle displayed in the sanctuary during the four Sundays of Advent. The first Sunday of Advent is Nov. 30, the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Please make every effort to have your candle, preferably non-or -lightly scented, on the display table that day!
Advent Wreath candle lighters: If you would like to participate in Advent worship by lighting the advent candle, please call or e-mail Pastor Drew. Both families and individuals, and all ages are invited to participate.

Crayon Can Project: We are collecting old and broken crayons. Rather than be thrown away and take decades to biodegrade, they will be melted and reformed into fun shapes, and given to special needs or sick children. For more information, please go to www.crayoncan.com, or contact Melinda Smith.

Dymond Hollow: If you have an address change, please let the membership committee (Pauline Scott, LaVerne Logan, or Kathy Faux) know. This includes newly assigned addresses for 911.

Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes: The Power of a Simple Gift; this is Center Moreland’s 11th year, collecting 1,389 shoe boxes through those years for hurting children around the world. We need the boxes NO LATER THAN Sun., Nov. 16th. The boxes will be dedicated that Sunday, loaded up in a truck and will travel that next week. Please pray for and pack a box for a special child. For info see Sheryl.

Sight and Sound Trip: March 14, 2009, at 1:00. The bus leaves from the Center Moreland Lot at 8 AM, and the estimated return time is 9:30 PM. Deposits of half the price are due on Nov. 30, balance on Dec. 31. Adults: $98, teens 13-18, $68, Children 3-12 $43. Questions, comments or reservations, please call Christopher Howell.
